The Brow Tint You Have To Try! Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint Review & Demo

I have been seeing the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint everywhere and decided it was time to try it for myself. I’m happy with the thickness of my brows but they could always be a bit darker, especially at the tail end.

The price is $24.95 however, I got it from the Chemist Wharehouse for $12.39, bargain! It comes in 4 different shades, I chose grey brown because my brows are a more cool toned brown shade. Plus, the colour on the box looked the closest to my actual hair colour.

Maybelline recommends to apply the formula, peel and reveal tinted and filled brows that last up to 3 days. Brows stay conditioned with the help of collagen and royal jelly, ooh royal.

The Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint comes with 3 easy steps on the box:

1. Apply it.

2. Let it dry for at least 20 min.

3. Peel it off (I use a spoolie to remove any remaining Maybelline gel tint).

It’s as simple as that, paint the product onto your brows as you would draw on your brows normally.

Ensuring you are careful to stay within the lines of your brows to achieve the look that you want, because not only does it tint your brow hairs it also tints your skin.

Pros of the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint:

  • It’s affordable!
  • It’s only semi-permanent.
  • It’s a low maintenance approach to caring for your brows (apply at night, brows are ready in the morning).
  • An amazing lady girl hack.

Cons of the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint:

maxresdefault

  • You spend 20 minutes looking like Miss Trunchbull.
  • The tube is quite small.
  • If you’re messy it will tint your skin.
  • When I applied a lot of the product, I found a few little hairs in the brow gel (eek I know! I found you can avoid this by NOT removing from the tail end, as the box suggests but from the front of your brow).
  • After wear, I noticed it has turned a little warm-toned on my skin.

Would I recommend using Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint?

After using the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint in Grey Brown.

Absolutely, especially if you are time poor, the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint is a quick and easy solution for getting defined and full looking brows. Apply it at night whilst watching TV or whatever and after 20 minutes you peel it off and voila, gorgeous brows.

Let me know in the comment section if you have tried the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel Tint and do you like it as much as me?

Clarisonic Mia 2 Review | Worth It?

I’ve struggled with my skin since a teen. One thing no one tells you as a teen is that, unfortunately, your skin doesn’t magically clear up when you hit your twenties or even your thirties!

I decided that if there was one thing I was going to invest my money into, it was skincare. So I purchased the Clarisonic Mia 2 a couple of years ago because I’m always on the lookout for something that will help improve my skin. Was it worth it?

How the Clarisonic works

It uses sonic-vibration technology to massage deep down into your skin to unclog your pores and give your skin a deep clean. The Clarisonic vibrates as you cleanse your skin to penetrate your pores deep enough to properly clean your skin which, your hands or a face washer just can’t achieve.

How to use the Clarisonic

Apply your cleanser on the brush head and move the Clarisonic Mia 2 in circular motions around your face (can also be used on your body).

It only takes 1 minute to cleanse your skin which means there is no excuse not to take your makeup off!

  1. Start by cleansing your nose and chin for 20 seconds, then it will buzz.
  2. Move onto your forehead and temples for 20 seconds, it will buzz again.
  3. The last step is 10 seconds each on your cheek and you’re done!

Tips

  1. Follow the beep prompt, no more, no less.
  2. Don’t press too hard (over scrubbing can cause your skin to over produce oils).
  3. Use clean water (you don’t want to push dirty wanted deep down into your pores).
  4. Get the right brush head for your skin type.
  5. Moisturise! After such a deep cleanse you need to put moisture back into your skin.
  6. Let it air dry to avoid mold.
  7. Make sure the brush is clean before each use.

Clarisonic brush heads

The Clarisonic Mia 2 lets you swap out different brush heads that suit your skin type. Each brush head offers a different cleansing method and Clarisonic suggests, to replace every 3 months for best results.

I buy my Clarisonic Mia 2 brush heads from Sephora. I have very sensitive skin, (with a tendency to get eczema) so I bought the delicate brush head for fragile or dry skin.

Caring for your Clarisonic

After every use remove the brush head and place them face down on a towel to drain any water out. This will allow them to dry properly.

The Clarisonic is suitable to use in the shower, however, if you leave it in the shower with the brush head on mold can form inside your Clarisonic and you don’t want that!

Clarisonic Mia 2 charger/battery life

I’ve seen a few bad reviews when it comes to the Clarisonic’s battery life, however, I have had mine for a couple year and I rarely need to charge it.

Pros

  • Can treat a range of different skin types.
  • Long battery life.
  • The perfect lazy girl product (only 1 minute to get freshly cleansed skin).
  • Skin feels smooth and clean afterward.
  • Good for all ages.
  • Easy to use.
  • Small enough to travel with.
  • Nicely shaped for convenient use.
  • Waterproof, so you can use in the shower.
  • Uses sonic-vibration technology for a deeper clean.

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Can be harsh on the skin if you apply too much pressure and scrub too hard (stripping your skin’s natural oils).
  • It hasn’t helped with my blackheads.
  • Can cause your skin to breakout within the first 2 weeks of use (you have to push through that period and let your skin go through a purging stage.)
  • Have to be wary of mold developing under the brush head (remove brush head after every use).

Worth purchasing?

For me, it has been worth purchasing the Mia 2 because I have noticed a huge difference when struggling with hormonal breakouts. The pros outway the cons for me and now knowing how to use to properly, it has become a must in my night time routine.

If you own a Clarisonic how has it helped your skin, or maybe it hasn’t? Let me know in the comments down below and don’t forget to check my video for more info.

5 Beauty Products You Need To Replace Today!

No matter how much you love your favourite lip gloss, that was discontinued in 2010. You need to throw it away, trust me on this one.

pexels-photo-324654.jpegBefore knowing these facts I held onto my favourite lipglosses, mascaras, and even sunscreen, for longer than I would like to admit. Once I realised that products actually have a use by date, I started throwing out products like a mad woman.

Not only are you getting rid of nasty products, you’re making room for new products by decluttering. Here are the top 5 beauty products I got rid of and so should you after reading this.

5 Eye Makeup Tips For Glasses Wearers | New Glasses!

Wearing glasses doesn’t mean your eye makeup has to suffer. There is a tonne of makeup tips you can utilise to look bomb in your favourite spectacles.

IMG_3260

I was inspired to create this video today because my new glasses from Firmoo arrived! I am in love with the clear frame and gold detailing, and the fact that they are big enough to fit my fat head, yet still very delicate and stylish.

I’ve come up with my top 5 tips for making your eyes look amazing in glasses.

1. Use eyeshadow shades that enhance your eye colour

To make your eyes pop behind those glasses use eyeshadows that are going to enhance your eye colour. The easiest way to find the colours that enhance your eye colour is to find your eye colour on the colour wheel and look directly opposite that colour.

For my blue/grey eyes, orange shades make my eyes pop.

Eyebrow Routine For Thick Eyebrows + Benefit Goof Proof First Impressions

Having full eyebrows has been a blessing since they have become quite popular in recent years. I often get people asking ‘how do I get my brows looking so thick?’ So I thought I would film my eyebrow routine.

Here is my eyebrow routine, as well as a review and my first impressions on the Benefit goof proof brow pencil.

Whilst my eyebrow routine doesn’t take long, I wouldn’t say this is a super quick and easy routine when using a pencil. I consider quick and easy to be a quick slick of tinted brow gel through my brows before running out the door.

This eyebrow pencil tutorial shows you step by step how I draw out my brows to achieve thick yet natural looking eyebrows.

5 Tips to embrace your Fair Skin | Plus Skincare!

Now that we are well and truly into the colder months my skin is as pale as ever. I’ve decided to embrace my pale skin and remember to really take care of it during these harsh winter months.

Fair skin can be sensitive and more susceptible to sun damage and redness. Which means, it is extra important to take care of your beautiful fair skin. Here are my top 5 tips on how to care for your fair skin.

Sun Protection

skincareMy number one tip for fair skin is to practise being sun smart daily, all year ’round. Sunburn leads to premature wrinkles, sun spots and worst of all, skin cancer. I use Dermalogica’s Ultra Sensitive Tint with SPF 30.

It has multiple benefits acting as a sunscreen, whilst being sensitive enough for fair skin and giving a touch of colour. It also protects from both UVA and UVB rays.
