Best Budget Makeup | Face

While I’m no makeup artist, I am on a budget and I love makeup! I think that qualifies me to show you some of my best budget makeup.

For anyone who is after some good quality products without the ridiculous price tag, I’m here to help! I’m a sucker for the right MAC lipstick yet the higher end of makeup doesn’t often align with what’s in my bank account.

Don’t let a budget get in the way of looking your best, read on a look into some of my favourite makeup items that won’t break the bank!

The most important part of any makeup routine is the base. The Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation is my absolute favourite drugstore foundation. My colour is classic ivory  and it retails for around $20. Which is an amazing price for a primer, concealer and foundation; it’s a win-win-win!

The coverage is amazing, I apply it as a primer and foundation. Wait for it to dry and then apply another layer for concealer. It saves on time, money and products used.

This little beauty is usually out of stock, that’s how you know it’s a winner. It has rave reviews online and here’s why.  Not only does it conceal blemishes and dark circles it erases them! Now how true that is I’m not sure but it certainly hides no sleep well!

Retailing for around $19 I have the shade fair claire. To brighten your under eyes, go one shade lighter than usual but to conceal make sure you use your correct skin tone (no lighter or darker).

Another cult favourite, Australis fresh and flawless pressed powder is the bomb. It sets your makeup beautifully, with no creasing under the eye. It also adds that extra little bit of coverage without being too cakey.

Retailing at around $13 this little guy is a steal. It also comes with a mirror and sponge, making for a cute little travel companion.

The Rimmel London natural bronzer has nothing but glowing reviews from me. It’s a beautiful product to give your face a warm, glowing look. Being the white walker that I am, bronzers can be tricky for me. It’s hard to warm up my face without looking muddy.

Although, the packaging is not great quality, this is a great drugstore bronzer and it’s only $16.

The Savvy cheek and lip colour is similar to the Bobbi Brown cheek and lip cream. I have this colour in sleek rose and it is an amazing colour for pale skin. It retails for $9 and is perfect to give yourself a touch of colour on those no makeup days.

This product is not highly pigmented so you will have to build it up. I find it applies best with you finger (to warm up the product on your skin).

This is a makeup product but I just had to mention this little gem. Last year Real Techniques (who sell quite expensive brushes) came out with this amazing beauty sponge for only $16! It’s the closest thing I’ve found to a beauty blender, for half the price.

It’s perfectly shaped to get into the little corner of your face with the pointy end. However, it can also cover your entire face quickly with the flat edge
